Goa and Mahabalipuram

I've been in Chennai for a week now and everything is getting settled. Here are another few images of this beautiful campus. I still can't believe it is possible to have a campus like this one. The Indian people do a wonderful job maintaining it.

After a few days been in the campus we went to Goa (an old Portugese colony) with 15 other exchange students. The rooms were only 4 euros a night. In that state there is no tax on alcohol so you get a bottle of Bacardi Rum for 8 euros... It was a perfect place to go before starting my courses on the 6th of August. There were many beaches and temples and churches and we visited a lot of places. Of yes it was the monsoon so it was raining quite often but it was o.k. because it freshened up the place.
We saw an elephant on the road was special....

When I came back from Goa we have been travelling around Chennai to an unpronounceable name Mahabalipuram where there were many beautiful temples and beaches. Went by bus which was a mess but still arrived after a nice trip.
Going to be travelling again this weekend but still have to choose a destination...

First few days in Chennai

Have been in Chennai for some time now.
The beggining really crazy. An indian guy led me into this small prison cell. I though it would be my temporary stay for the night.... NOOOOOOOOOOT! I have to stay in a prison for a whole year. The first picture is a picture of my room taken from the entrance of my room.... As you can see there are (prison) metal bars in the window so that the monkeys don't get in and steal food in your room.

I've gotten accustomed to my home though and it's going to be alright. The campus is
beautiful a lot of animals everywhere I had never immagined to see roaming around in a school. There are monkeys, many types of bambis and strange lizards everywhere in the campus.
Finished all my paperwork today which meant walking around this huge campus for two straight days.
Going for a 4 day holiday in Goa with some erasmus students I've just met. Going to be a lot of fun.

Goat!!!

I went for a walk this afternoon and in the middle of the sidewalk... a goat.
I also went to this magnificent temple in the middle of the sea. It's actually a muslim mosque and a tomb. It's called Haji Ali Dargah. Its where a muslim saint died. A lot of people go to this place and pray over the tomb.

Arrival in Mumbai

This city is completely mad!!!
Really good friends of my mother have invited me to stay at there place for a few days. They tell me where to go in Mumbai and let me meet a lot of people.
I wake up and look below in the street and find people playing cricket just in the middle of the road. I have been told that they do this every Sunday. I must still have to understand how this game works.
